Every applicant goes through an interview with ATLVets Program Directors — co-created with executives and military leadership from across the country.

Pillar Leader Review
Application packages are reviewed by the Pillar Leaders who determine pathway placement and next steps for each candidate.

Acceptance & Placement
Accepted candidates receive their pathway assignment — Senior Leader Track, VetOPS, or another track — based on goals and current stage of development.

The ATLVets Leadership Institute is built for individuals who want more than inspiration — they want structure, community, and a pathway to measurable growth and meaningful impact.
We select candidates based on professional achievement, organizational responsibility, and personal accountability. You do not have to be a veteran — we welcome milspouses and veteran allies. What you must be is serious.
Upon acceptance, you'll complete vocational, personality, and strengths assessments — including ATLVets' own Transition Readiness Assessment. These are integral to tailoring the program to your goals.

Pathway Assignment
You receive your recommended pathway based on your goals and current stage of development. Candidates ready for advanced tracks may be placed directly into the Senior Leader Track. Others may start in VetOPS with a clear roadmap to advance.

Assessments
Vocational, personality, and strengths assessments — plus the ATLVets Transition Readiness Assessment. These inspire better questions and ensure the program is meeting your specific goals.

Onboarding
You receive your session schedule, mentor assignment, access to the ATLVets platform, and everything you need to show up to your first session ready to execute — not just observe.
