Advancing The Line – Atlanta – Senator Kenya Wicks

Join us for another great event!

August 11 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

Join ATLVets for an evening of candid conversation and high-value networking with retired U.S. Army Major, community leader, and lifelong public servant Kenya Wicks.

Over a 30-year military career, Kenya Wicks rose from enlisted soldier to commissioned officer — a testament to the kind of leadership, resilience, and commitment that doesn’t come from a title, but from showing up every day for three decades. A Louisville, Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Alabama, she built a career defined by service to her country and her people.

But her story isn’t one of a career that ended at separation. It’s one of service that simply changed form. In her civilian life, Major Wicks has poured that same discipline into her community — advocating for children in foster care as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Clayton County, serving fellow veterans through the board of the Eden Project, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.

For our veteran community moving into new arenas of leadership, Major Wicks is living proof of a simple truth: the mission doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. It just finds new ground.

What to expect:

  • A fireside-style conversation on leadership, resilience, and lifelong service
  • Practical insight on carrying military discipline into civilian impact
  • Premium networking with Atlanta’s veteran and business leaders
  • Drinks and connection
