Advancing the Line for Veterans – Speaker Series

Join Zack A Knight in a monthly meet-up the second Tuesday of each month at the Buckhead Club. We feature veterans of the local community that are making an impact as we all come together in one place to build community and business! This month we are featuring Jackie Breitenstein, MS, CTRS, CCM Program Manager for the SHARE Program at Shepherd Center:

Jackie has over 20 years of experience in therapeutic recreation, case management and program development. As Program Manager at Shepherd Center, a leading rehabilitation hospital for people with spinal cord and brain injuries, she oversees the Complex Concussion Clinic and SHARE Military Initiative.  The Complex Concussion Clinic provides comprehensive assessment and treatment for civilian patients with persistent post-concussion symptoms following a concussion. SHARE offers specialized rehabilitation and community reintegration services for veterans, service members and first responders with mild to moderate brain injury at no out-of-pocket cost. She received her Master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is a Certified Clinical Case Manager and a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. She has collaborated with various stakeholders and partners to advocate for the needs and rights of this population. Jackie is also a Special Government Employee, serving as an appointed member of the Veterans’ Advisory Committee on Rehabilitation (VACOR).
