I’m a Partner at Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick (CCK Law), the largest veterans disability law firm in the United States. Since 2018, I’ve represented veterans and their families on appeal at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA), the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC), and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The firm handles claims and appeals at every level of the VA system, nationwide, and has recovered more than $1 billion for veterans and their families. I work here because the mission is real and the track record is not theoretical.

Before CCK, every role I held was inside that system:

* Veterans Law Judge at the BVA (2014-2018), signing more than 3,000 decisions
* Judicial law clerk at the CAVC for the Honorable Alan G. Lance, Sr.
* Counsel in the BVA’s Office of Quality Review, evaluating signed Board decisions and every dispositive Veterans Court decision
* Associate Counsel at the BVA, drafting decisions for Veterans Law Judges

Distinguished Veterans Law Career
Mr. Hennings has over 20 years of legal experience. Prior to his role at CCK, he served as a Veterans Law Judge at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA), a position appointed by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs with presidential approval. In this prestigious capacity, he adjudicated appeals and provided critical oversight in veterans’ claims decisions.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hennings worked as Counsel in the Office of Quality Review at the BVA, ensuring compliance and consistency in veterans’ decisions, and as Associate Counsel at the BVA, where he drafted appellate decisions for Veterans Law Judges. He later served as an attorney law clerk to the Honorable Alan G. Lance, Sr., at the CAVC.
