Objective

The ATLVets Leadership Institute is a year-long leadership development ecosystem built around structured milestones, consistent engagement, and real-world application. Participants move through a deliberate cadence of monthly in-person experiences and bi-weekly virtual touchpoints, supported by practical content on leadership growth, career and business advancement, networking, and personal brand development. Each engagement is reinforced through guided debriefs and follow-up discussions so participants can translate lessons into action alongside a trusted community.

Institute participants also gain access to exclusive events, networking opportunities, and ongoing mentorship, creating continuity beyond any single workshop or track.

How It Works

Application & Selection

Our Leadership Institute is not designed for everyone. Our selection process was co-created by executives and military leadership from across the country. To ensure we carry on the professional legacy of the veterans and veteran allies, we must select candidates based on a strong background of professional achievement, organizational responsibility, and personal accountability. You do not have to be a veteran to apply, we offer this program to Milspouses and Veteran Allies.

Applicants go through a thorough review process. This involves submitting character recommendations, a detailed resume, and completing an admissions interview with the  Program Directors. Finally, application packages will undergo examination by the Pillar Leaders, who will then determine the next steps for candidates.

Assessment

Upon admission into any program, Candidates will immediately be given multiple assessments i.e. vocational, personality, strengths, and ATLVets’s own Transition Readiness Assessment. These assessments inspire Candidates to ask better questions and are integral to ensuring the program is identifying and meeting Candidate’s goals, helping us tailor the program to the unique population we serve.

Acceptance

Once you are accepted into the ATLVets Leadership Institute, you will be notified of the decision along with a recommended pathway based on your goals and current stage of leadership development. Candidates who are ready for advanced support and higher-level execution may be placed into an accelerated track aligned to senior leadership or entrepreneurship. Others may be placed into a foundational development track—such as VetOPS—with a clear action plan to build the competencies, experience, and readiness required for advancement into more advanced Institute pathways over time.
