How It Works
Application & Selection
VetOPS is not designed for everyone. Our selection process was co-created by executives and military leadership from across the country. To ensure we carry on the professional legacy of the veterans and veteran allies, we must select candidates based on a strong background of professional achievement, organizational responsibility, and personal accountability. You do not have to be a veteran to apply, we offer this program to Milspouses and Veteran Allies.
Applicants go through a thorough review process. This involves submitting character recommendations, a detailed resume, and completing an admissions interview with the VetOPS Program Director. Finally, application packages will undergo examination by the Pillar Leaders that will then determine next steps for candidates.
Assessment
Upon admission into VetOPS, Candidates will immediately be given multiple assessments i.e. vocational, personality, strengths, and ATLVets’s own Transition Readiness Assessment. These assessments inspire Candidates to ask better questions and are integral to ensuring the program is identifying and meeting Candidate’s goals, helping us tailor the program to the unique population we serve.
Acceptance
Once you’re accepted into VetOPS, you will be informed of the decision with a recommended advancement track. For more career ready leaders, we offer a Senior Leader Track that highlights more specific needs for leaders currently in roles needing heightened support. For other candidates, you will be offered the VetOPS track with an action plan that VetOPS will help you cultivate into becoming an ideal candidate for the Senior Leader Track.Â
