SUMMARY:Sweat with a Vet - MVP Partnership
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce a collaborative effort with MVP – Merging Vets and Players\nEach week\, MVP hosts a workout and community session at Crossfit Resurgens. Come out and get in a sweat with us! Here’s more about MVP: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMVP empowers combat veterans and former professional athletes by connecting them after the uniform comes off; providing them with a new team to assist with transition\, promote personal development\, and show them they are never alone. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur nation’s warriors – from every field of battle – possess a sense of strength\, of excellence\, and of commitment that we seldom see here at home. However\, far too many of them are struggling to transition their abilities towards a new mission – leading themselves\, their families\, and their communities off the field. MVP was designed to address this challenge\, and ensure that all of our nation’s warriors can be as productive off the field as they were on it. \nBy merging vets and players\, we create an environment where these warriors can share each other’s strength and experience\, and can support each other in building fulfilling lives of service and strength. Your support will enable us to continue building our program\, and unlocking the potential of these great individuals. \nIf you are interested in joining MVP each week\, please check out more here: https://vetsandplayers.org/locations/atlanta

SUMMARY:Advancing the Line w/ Home Depot
DESCRIPTION:Join Zack A Knight in a monthly meet-up the second Tuesday of each month at the Buckhead Club. We feature veterans of the local community that are making an impact as we all come together in one place to build community and business! This month we are featuring Gabriel Soltero – Program Manager\, Military Hiring at The Home Depot \n\n\n\nOriginally from San Juan\, Puerto Rico\, Gabe began a 25-year military career after graduating from Rice University in Houston\, TX. He trained as a Navy pilot\, completed several overseas deployments\, and served as the Commanding Officer of helicopter squadrons in San Diego and Guam.  Gabe finished his military career as Director of the Naval International Staff College in Newport\, RI. \n\n\n\nFollowing his retirement from the Navy Gabe moved with his family to Atlanta\, where he volunteered with veteran organizations to assist other service members navigating their own career transition from the military.  After a short stint in the International Development sector he joined the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS)\, and in 2022 he accepted his current position with The Home Depot as Program Manager for Military Hiring.  In this role Gabe oversees fellowship programs for transitioning service members and military spouses\, as well as direct hiring opportunities for all members of the military community. \n\n\n \nThis exclusive gathering brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds\, with a special emphasis on honoring and engaging with veterans from our local community. As part of our commitment to fostering camaraderie and building connections\, each event features a thrilling round of military trivia. Test your knowledge and learn fascinating facts about military history\, strategy\, and culture\, all while enjoying the elegant ambiance and exceptional service of the Buckhead Club. Our trivia sessions are not only entertaining but also serve as a meaningful tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country. Join us as we celebrate our veterans\, forge new friendships\, and cultivate opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
