SUMMARY:Sweat with a Vet - MVP Partnership
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce a collaborative effort with MVP – Merging Vets and Players\nEach week\, MVP hosts a workout and community session at Crossfit Resurgens. Come out and get in a sweat with us! Here’s more about MVP: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMVP empowers combat veterans and former professional athletes by connecting them after the uniform comes off; providing them with a new team to assist with transition\, promote personal development\, and show them they are never alone. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur nation’s warriors – from every field of battle – possess a sense of strength\, of excellence\, and of commitment that we seldom see here at home. However\, far too many of them are struggling to transition their abilities towards a new mission – leading themselves\, their families\, and their communities off the field. MVP was designed to address this challenge\, and ensure that all of our nation’s warriors can be as productive off the field as they were on it. \nBy merging vets and players\, we create an environment where these warriors can share each other’s strength and experience\, and can support each other in building fulfilling lives of service and strength. Your support will enable us to continue building our program\, and unlocking the potential of these great individuals. \nIf you are interested in joining MVP each week\, please check out more here: https://vetsandplayers.org/locations/atlanta

As CEO and Owner ofCornerCap\, Cannon Carr speaks from personal experience\, having led his firm through severalshocks in recent years that tested his mettle as both leader and owner. He shares those lessonsin his forthcoming book Personal Profit: How to Build Financial Independence from YourBusiness\, in addition to exploring how entrepreneurs can balance competing demands ofbusiness and personal liquidity. Carr has made it his mission to empower business owners toachieve financial independence from their business so they can better navigate the inevitableshocks every business owner will face and help build a path to sustained financial freedom. \nPrior to joining CornerCap as Chief Investment Officer in 2010\, Carr spent a decade on WallStreet as an Investment Analyst studying the business health of communications companies\,from private start-ups to public companies in the Fortune 500. He now leverages that expertiseto benefit business owners whose livelihood depends on the health of their business. Carrdeveloped the 3Rs® framework to guide business owners through decisions that contemplatewhat’s right for the owner’s personal finances as well as their business goals. For every dollar ofprofit a business generates\, its owner can choose to take personal financial Reward\, Reinvest inthe business\, or Repurpose funds to diversify into outside investments. \nIn his biweekly podcast “Business Owner Tales from the Trenches\,” Carr also mines for insightsfrom business owners across an array of industries on how they\, too\, navigated disruptions intheir business ownership journeys. \nCarr\, proud husband and father of three sons\, lives in Atlanta and is highly engaged in publicservice in the city where he was born and raised. Most recently he served as President of theRotary Club of Atlanta\, among the organization’s largest in the US\, and Chair of the AdvisoryBoard for the Center for Ethics at Emory University. He received his undergraduate degree inPolitics and Economics from Princeton University and earned an MBA from ColumbiaUniversity.
